I’m buzzing with excitement to offer a free yoga class with the theme of strong shoulders at the Athleta store in Georgetown on Sat. March 10th at 2pm. It’s my first official event as an Athleta Sponsored Athlete.
Get a guided tour of the smaller muscles that stabilize the shoulder blades and keep you injury-free while your arms take on new challenges. A mini-talk will be followed by a strengthening vinyasa yoga sequence (putting those new muscle friends to work) then a short mindfulness meditation practice to help you power up the most important muscle of all: your mind.
Space for 18 yoga mats. Healthy snacks will be served.

More free classes in March: I’ll be teaching two free yoga classes at Embrace, Faith Hunter’s yoga studio in Adams Morgan. Embrace is the home of my delightful, sweaty, weekly Saturday 11am class (you can even sleep in and still get your yoga on!).
The FREE classes take place Sundays March 11th and 25th from 1-2pm and will be packed! Show up 15 min. early to claim your mat real estate (the class before it ends at 12:30 so no need to get there earlier than that).
I’ll also be at the Rock n’ Roll Marathon the following Saturday — March 17th bright and early until 10:30am. Stop by, say hi, and ask me any questions you have about stretching, injury, yoga, or life.
DC is getting a BEAUTIFUL new yoga studio: EPIC. Vast windows, skylights, 3 studios (including a barre room), a juice bar cafe, a lounge showers and hot yoga are some of the delights awaiting you there. Located in the block just south of Dupont Circle, I’ll be teaching both detox flow and beginners yoga there (finally! a beginners class!).
